TREATMENT SERVICES
RESIDENTIAL REHABILITATION SERVICES

A range of agencies have been funded through the MERIT program to provide residential rehabilitation services to program participants.  Services are provided that are of up to 12 weeks duration and aim to reduce drug use and criminal offending, and improve health and social functioning.

The distribution of funding across the State has taken into account the needs of rural, regional and specific population needs.

MERIT residential rehabilitation beds are currently funded under Phase Two of the Council of Australian Government’s (COAG) Illicit Drug Diversion Initiative (IDDI) for the years 2005/06 and 2006/07.

Additional services have been funded to link with MERIT teams to support clients throughout and/or at the completion of the MERIT program.
